1973 Triumph TR6
This 1973 Triumph TR6 was purchased by the seller in 2010 as a non-running project and subsequently underwent a five-year refurbishment. Work included refinishing the body in white, sourcing and refinishing a donor frame, reupholstering the interior in black, and rebuilding the 2.5-liter inline-six, four-speed manual transmission, and rear differential along with the suspension, brakes, exhaust system, gauges, and wiring harness.

Equipment includes 16″ Konig wheels, a black soft top, stainless-steel bumpers, Mazda Miata seats, a Bubinga wood veneer dash, and a RetroSound stereo. This TR6 is now offered with refurbishment records and photos, an owner’s handbook, repair manuals, a tonneau cover, and Georgia registration.
The body was removed from the factory frame in 2010 and subsequently stripped after which the inner panels were coated with POR-15 and the body was repainted in the current shade of white using a basecoat/clear coat process. A replacement frame sourced from a 1974 TR6 was sandblasted before being coated in POR-15 and chassis black paint and attached to the body with new hardware and isolators. Equipment includes replacement stainless-steel bumpers, MacGregor Bristleflex door seals, replacement halogen headlights, a front spoiler, a Prestige Tops black fabric soft top, a black vinyl top boot, chrome bullet-style mirrors, “Union Jack” TR6 graphics on the rear quarter panels, and quad polished exhaust tips. A crack in the paint is present on the left rear fender.

Konig Rewind 16″ wheels are wrapped in 205/60 Yokohama Avid ENVigor tires. The brake booster and front calipers were rebuilt and the hardware, master cylinder, front pads, rear shoes, wheel cylinders, and lines were replaced. The seller notes that suspension and steering overhauls included blasting and powder-coating the factory parts and installing an Addco rear sway bar along with Goodparts lowering springs, spacers, nylatron bushings, and trailing arm brackets, and replacing the shocks, shock links, bump stops, ball joints, sway bar mounts and end links, and tie rod ends and gaiters.
The interior was stripped and lined with sound-deadening material before the carpets and door panels were replaced. High-back bucket seats were sourced from a Miata, reupholstered, and installed using Patton Machine mounts. The speakers in the headrests and kidney pads were also replaced. Additional cabin equipment includes three-point seat belts, chrome TR4 door pulls, a wood shift knob, Triumph-branded floor mats, a 12-volt power source, and a RetroSound stereo.
