34-Years-Owned 1960 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Project
This 1960 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider is a running project that was acquired by the current owner in 1988 from the seller’s father. The car is finished in red over red vinyl upholstery and powered by a twin-cam 2.0L inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

Equipment includes dual Weber DCOE carburetors, 400mm steel wheels, a removable black hardtop, a black soft top, and chrome bumpers. Service performed in preparation for the sale is said to have included replacing ignition components and tuning the carburetors. This 2000 Spider is now offered in Washington State by the seller on behalf of the current owner with the removed airbox and Solex carburetors as well as a clean Colorado title.
The car is said to have left the factory finished in white and was repainted in red under current ownership. Features include hood scoops, polished body side moldings, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The seller states the soft top is in disrepair and needs to be replaced, while the red vinyl top boot is torn in several places. The removable Touring hardtop is scratched and shows peeling around the rear window. Areas of faded and cracked paint are visible, the chrome is worn, and the rear bumper is dented.

Steel 400mm wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 165-series Michelin X radial tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel aluminum-finned drum brakes. The seller notes play in the steering.
The cabin features low-back bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl with white piping. The black dashboard is scratched, the vinyl interior trim is cracking and faded, and the carpets are worn and stained. The radio and associated wiring have been removed, though aftermarket speakers remain installed behind the front seats. The hole in the dashboard where the radio was housed has been patched with tape.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Veglia instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The instrument lenses are faded and the polished surrounds are worn. The five-digit mechanical odometer has rolled over at least once and now shows 1k miles. Approximately 50k miles are said to have been added under current ownership, and total mileage is unknown.
The twin-cam 2.0L inline-four is equipped with dual Weber DCOE carburetors. There is no air cleaner installed, and the seller notes several oil leaks. The fuel pump, ignition points, spark plugs, and ignition wires are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale in addition to tuning the carburetors.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, which the seller states pops out of reverse.
